Carum – True Hospital Breast Pump
The Carum was developed by Ardo engineers in close cooperation with our in-house lactation consultants as an innovative, next generation breast pump, specifically designed for heavy-duty use in hospitals and lactation rooms. The Carum employs a dual-piston and cylinder technology, and is an ultra-quiet, closed system, easy to clean multi-user breast pump. It features individually adjustable settings for vacuum and cycles and the ability to mimic a baby’s natural nursing action.
The Carum begins in stimulation mode before changing to expression mode after 2 minutes. If the mother stimulates a letdown before the two minutes, she can change to expression mode at any time. Vacuum and cycles can be independently changed which allows the pumping mother to toggle back and forth during a pumping session. Most pumps have an algorithm that does not allow altering, but Ardo realizes every mother and baby are different. So, the Carum was developed to take into account this reality accordingly and supports the mother to find the best settings for her pumping session.
In addition to the 2-phase technology (stimulation and expression mode), the Carum offers a unique sensitive program. The Carum sensitive program gives the mother the option to start the pump basically at zero to avoid a startling sensation, while other pumps immediately start at 50 mmHg vacuum. This feature is especially important for mothers with sore nipples/breasts or anxious new mothers who may be fearful of pumping.
It also offers a backlight dimmer for subtle nighttime pumping. The Carum’s interface is very intuitive and completely adjustable while weighing less than 7 lbs. Mothers that are post C-section may transport the Carum safely. A wheeled stand is also available for hospitals and lactation rooms. The Carum brings independence and reliability to mothers.

Amaryll Hand Pump
The Amaryll breast pump is a gentle and hygienic manual pump. With efficient operation and additional breast shell sizes available, the Amaryll is a great pumping option with an individually adaptable ergonomic handle. The handle is adjustable with 3 settings to allow the mother to move the handle left, right or center to pump in whichever hand or setting is most comfortable. The Amaryll mimics Ardo’s piston technology as it also maintains the negative pressure and never releases the nipples when in use.
